I read an interesting blog out of New Orleans, raises the question of whether Puerto Ricans feel more American or Latin American, with regard to a comment made by Filiberto Ojeda’s widow after his assassination: She says that puertoricans identify more with Latin America, than the United States. On the other hand, many people don’t consider Puerto Rico as part of Latin America at all…But even many puertoricans don’t consider themselves latin americans. I guess I’m wondering how you guys view Puerto Rico or puertoricans, do you think they would fall under Latin Americans, Americans or do we have a special class all by ourselves? I humbly offer that regardless of territorial issues and U.S. depletion and exploitation of the island, Puerto Rico has more in common with Latin America than with the United States. Up for debate: How do Puerto Ricans in the U.S. and on the island differ in their inclination towards a Latin American or U.S. identity? How do U.S. Puerto Ricans reconcile national pride with the atrociti committed by the U.S. on the island over decades? Should they have to? I’m interested in hearing comments from anyone and everyone interested in the topic. check out the messege board to discuss on the topic.

It is an information-rich world in which we work. It’s easy to feel run over by the scads of new and improved techno-intel-mashup-supertool-software-coolness that keeps exploding on our computer screens, Bloggers or in our aggregators :) To quote Jess Shera, it is “Knowledge knowledge everywhere and not a thought to think.” But you see… that is where we come in: The Few the Proud…the One. :) We utilize the knowledge and the thoughts and turn them into pathways, answers, relevance for our patrons to connect to the community and the world. Social software tools help us do that. So we take the Lead, because the story is just beginning and we don’t want to sleep anymore. We like the rabbit hole, so we are to be the Hitchhiker’s Guide, the Cryptographers of a new age. Instead of keeping secrets, we are learning them and utilizing the tools that open the pathways to so much more that rabbit holes. If information is power, then our networks explores the possibilities and the potential of the information superhighway for those professionals that are interested in working with us, welcome aboard...
